Spedra tablets

Spedra tablets are used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED), a condition where a man cannot achieve or maintain an erection sufficient for sexual activity.

The active ingredient is avanafil, a type of medicine known as a PDE5 inhibitor. It works by increasing blood flow to the penis when you are sexually aroused, helping to achieve and maintain an erection. Spedra only works when you are sexually stimulated.

How to take:

•The usual starting dose is 100mg, taken about 30 minutes before sexual activity.

•Depending on effectiveness and tolerability, your doctor may adjust the dose to 50mg or up to a maximum of 200mg.

•Do not take more than one tablet in 24 hours.

•Swallow with water. Avoid grapefruit juice and excessive alcohol as these may reduce effectiveness.

Precautions:

•Do not take if you are allergic to avanafil or any of the ingredients.

•Avoid if you take nitrate medicines (for chest pain) or riociguat (for pulmonary hypertension), as the combination can cause dangerous drops in blood pressure.

•Not suitable if you have serious heart or liver problems, recent stroke or heart attack, or low blood pressure.

•Speak to your doctor before use if you have certain eye conditions or anatomical problems of the penis.

•Common side effects may include headache, flushing, nasal congestion, or dizziness. Stop and seek urgent medical help if you experience chest pain, vision loss, or an erection lasting more than 4 hours.
