Festive Closures
Introduction
At PillPoint Pharmacy, we value our customers and aim to provide continuous, reliable service throughout the year. However, during the festive season, our pharmacy team may observe limited working hours or temporary closures to allow staff to rest and spend time with their families.
This policy explains how festive closures are managed and how we ensure that your medication and orders are handled safely and efficiently during this period.
1. Planned Festive Closures
Our pharmacy typically operates on a reduced schedule over major holidays, including Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year’s Day. We will publish clear notices of these closure dates in advance on our website, order confirmation emails, and social media pages to help customers plan ahead.
2. Order Processing and Delivery
Orders placed during festive closures will be securely stored and processed once normal operations resume. Please note that Royal Mail and courier services may also experience delays during this time, so we advise placing orders well in advance of the holidays to avoid any disruption to your treatment.
3. Prescription Requests Before Holidays
To ensure timely delivery, we recommend submitting prescription requests at least 5–7 days before the expected closure period. Our prescribers and pharmacy team will do their best to review and approve all orders promptly before the break.
4. Emergency and Urgent Medication Support
If you require urgent medication during the festive period, please contact:
- NHS 111 for medical advice or assistance
- Your local community pharmacy (many operate limited festive hours)
- 999 in case of a medical emergency
Our online ordering platform will remain open for orders, but dispensing and dispatch will resume when the pharmacy reopens.
5. Contact and Updates
For updates about festive closure dates or to discuss medication timelines, please contact our support team:
- Email: team@pillpointonline.co.uk
- Phone: +44 (0) 7546 241 649
We aim to reply to all messages as soon as possible once normal service resumes.
